Course Expectations

In Ohio, if you're 21 or older and fail your driver's license test, you must complete a 4-hour online Abbreviated Adult Driver Education course and get additional behind-the-wheel practice before you can retake the test.

At All Star, we offer two program options to meet these requirements:

Online Course Only: Complete the 4-hour online course with us.

Abbreviated Adult Combo Program: This fulfills both the online classroom and behind-the-wheel requirements.

To be eligible for a retake in Ohio, you must log behind-the-wheel practice in addition to completing the abbreviated course. You have two options for the driving practice:

4 hours of training with a licensed instructor: Our Abbreviated Adult Combo program includes this professional, one-on-one instruction.

24 hours of driving with a licensed driver: The licensed driver must be at least 21 years old. You will need to track these hours using the BMV 5789 24-Hour Affidavit form.
